Emanuel Johnson II, a native of Detroit, MI. Son of famed local great Emanuel Johnson of Enchantment (Gloria).... Emanuel musical gifts were obvious and undeniable from an early age always beating, tapping and grooving to music. With little formal training in classical and gospel music singing and playing.
Emanuel is a well known self taught musician that has excelled to professional status under the mentorship of another one of Detroit, MI Legendary Antun Foster. It was Antun Foster that pave the way for him to travel and play for accomplished other Gospel Legends and Renown Artists such as The Clark Sisters, Karen Clark-Sheard, Dorinda Clark-Cole, and Twinkie Clark. Along with Kiera (Kiki) Sheard, Antun Foster & Chemistry and Martha Munnizzi. Also, Playing the Live Recording sessions with Ron Winans Family & Friends 5 and Jackie Clark-Chisholm along with many others...
It is God's favor that has shined brightly and placed him before great men. Emanuel passion is writing, producing and playing quality music that represents his Love for God & others. Emanuel states that the vision of this ministry is to break cultural boundaries by reaching the hearts of those Old, Young, Black, White, Rich, and Poor through this ministry people experience the manifested presence of God. GIWU has released their Debut Album entitled, "God Is With Us" and is available at God’s World and your Local Gospel Retailer. Currently Emanuel serves as Minister of Music at New Love Ministries and continues to offer his gifting to many Local and National Churches, Gospel Artists and Ministries.
