Where Do You Find Yourself? In Word & Worship, or Wrestling & Warfare?

The life of a believer is an great one, but at times perplexing one.

Many tend to believe that a believer's life will be one free of trials, hardships, and pain. But life has taught us that that's a fallacy!

Others believe that life will be filled with only good things. Things such as favor, abundance, and increase! Unfortunately, that too is untrue.

The truth is, the life of a believer vacillates between those 2 areas as well as and many others.

The question today is one that many ponder and worry about on a regular basis. Am I studying the Word enough? Do I spend enough time in Worship? Why am I always seemingly in Warfare? OR Why does it seem that I'm always Wrestling, like Jacob, for my blessing?

The question is not a WHY ME question, but rather a WHY NOT ME question!

Jesus was challenged in many of the same areas; therefore we should also expect to be. We tend to forget the he was God, but he wrapped himself in flesh. No, he didn't succumb to sin. But he was tempted, as we are, and had challenges during his JOURNEY, on earth, in route to his heavenly DESTINATION.

Heb 4:15* For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

So do your best to Worship and stay in Word! But know that much like an athlete developing muscle, know that God grants us moments of strength to get you over moments of Wrestling, Warfare and even Weakness!

I must also say that YOU WILL fall sometimes but get back up and continue the journey. When you do, start the progression all over again; Word, Worship, or Worship and Word!

Ro 3:23* For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Pr 24:16* For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again...

1Jo 1:9* If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Know this, our walk with God is about the JOURNEY, as much as it is about the DESTINATION!

I'm praying for you and I hope you're praying for me as well!

Why Did Jesus Fold The Napkin

As we commemorate the Death, Burial and Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ I would like to share with you something to reflect back on...

Why Did Jesus Fold the Napkin?

This is one I can honestly say I have never seen circulating in the
emails so; if it touches you, you may want to forward it.

Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection? I
never noticed this....

The Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed
over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave
clothes.

The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly
folded, and was placed separate from the grave clothes.

Early Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to
the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the
entrance.

She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom
Jesus loved. She said, 'They have taken the Lord's body out of the
tomb, and I don't know where they have put him!'

Peter and the other disciple ran to the tomb to see. The other
disciple outran Peter and got there first. He stooped and looked in
and saw the linen cloth lying there, but he didn't go in.

Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen
wrappings lying there, while the cloth that had covered Jesus' head was
folded up and lying to the side.

Was that important? Absolutely!

Is it really significant? Yes!

In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have
to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day. The
folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every Jewish
boy knew this tradition.

When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure
that it was exactly the way the master wanted it.

The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait,
just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the
servant would not dare touch that table, until the master was
finished.

Now if the master were done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe
his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that
napkin and toss it onto the table.

The servant would then know to clear the table. For in those days, the
wadded napkin meant, 'I'm done'.

But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and
laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table,
because..........

The folded napkin meant, 'I'm coming back!'

He is Coming Back!

25 Random Things About Me

When I saw that everybody was out growing me in height I wonder what was going on, I mean I ate the proper meals lol took my vitamins...Then I remember asking my father why was everyone getting taller than me...And One day he met me at school on the playground and explain things to me. And as having a Saved Father he instilled in me values that has made me part of who I am today.By tell me that I could do all things, be all things, through Christ which strentghten me.

6. Growing up as a child I love basketball just like I still do today. And I remember oh so well I would go play basketball with my brothers and friends and I could never get the chance to throw the ball in because all it took was one person to just stand in front of me and just stand there because their height always block my shot... But the saints then would say you beta know for sure you gotta as oppose to get to the judgement seat and be told to depart... So week after week I would go to Prayer and Tarry mtg, Y'all remember them days and I would tarry and tarry for the HG and each time they would say to me Tim you got something you wanna tell us... Be Healed, Be Delivered and Be Set Free

Greetings Family and Friends, This morning the Lord would have me to encourage the body of Christ to be healed, delivered and set free from the enemy camp for the devil himself have only come to steel, kill and destroy the people of God. But I want to encourage you that you have a greater weapon against the Devil and that weapon is the Power he has given up and that is Prayer.

The Lord gave me a message a few years back entitle "The Power of Prayer" taken from 2 Chronicle 7:14 If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (NIV)

And my Sub Topic was "If" Meaning if we want the Lord's attention their are conditions that we must adhere to and go by....Let's not have a shadow prayer life but a life with the power he has given us to call them things as they be. Walking in the authority he has given us to walk in good health, to be above and not beneath...

So against I encourage you to be strong in the Lord and in the power of his mite...Pray earnestly contending for the faith believing your Healing is on the way...Your Deliverance is at your front door of your life, Your breakthrough is in your Praise... When we do the things as perscribe by 2 Chronicle 7:14 then we will reap the benefits of hearing from heaven.... Those of you that might be unemployed Praise God because even in this economy times across our nation, Our God is still in control and always has and always will have the last say...But Pray and Trust Him! Those of you that might be sick in your body God took on the stripes so that we might be healed...Hold fast and Hold on to your faith...God can't lie he just can't and he won't!

So earnestly seek the Lord in prayer and begin to bless him for the things he has done in past and the greater things he going to do in your life, Oh bless the name of our God!

In closing I'm encouraging for us all to Pray more and contend for the Faith.... Prayer and Praise is the key and submitting to the will of the Lord...

Because of his Unmerited Favor, I Humbly Remain!

How Sacred Is the Pulpit?

"How sacred is the pulpit now days? Meaning conduct, lifestyle, character and the spiritual deportment of pastors, preachers, choir members, praise team, leaders, musicians - everything behind the sacred desk. For example how in the old testament the priest could only go in for our sins once a year and if they weren't living right. They did not come out alive and had to pull the strings to pull the dead priest out. The old church was a very serious place, consecrated to God. Now, as long as we are entertained, or people have gift and talents who cares what life they live..."

Answer the following questions:

1. Has gift/talent/anointing been exalted above character?

2. Do Christian leaders have a responsibility to live a life that is above reproach?

3. Should leaders be held accountable for sexual sins and moral failures? If so how?

4. Does Christian TV (TBN, Daystar, etc) have a responsibility to take a stand/position when popular ministers are involved in scandal?

5. What do you think about throwing money at a minister's feet while ministering? Is this practice biblical?

6. Should people whose lifestyles appear to be obviously inconsistent with biblical positions be allowed to minister just because of their gifting?

7. In these days of anything goes lifestyles, should most men in ministry over the age of 30 be married? Why?

8. In many black churches ministries are held hostage by mercenary musicians who don't join the ministry, play/teach/direct/sing, routinely leave out during the message, then return just in time for the climax and altar call. Is the pastor responsible for their soul?

9. Theatrics and the playing of spooky dramatic music seems to be replacing flat-footed teaching and preaching. Is this okay to you?

10. Does materialism and desire for wealth and possessions affect a leaders ability to stay focused?

11. Why are so many pastors falling into sin? Is it okay because they're only human?

12. Are people manipulated by leaders when their spiritual, financial, material, medical, or emotional deliverance is attached to giving?

13. Do we live in an era of "Do as I say and not as I do?" Christianity?
