History In The Making

As I awaking from my slumber in great anticipation on Tuesday Morning January 20, 2009 on a day that would become symbolic for years to come as History was in the making, The Long Awaited Vision for the African America Heritage I was with mix emotion. I was so excited that the Lord allowed me the opportunity to see this day a day in which I wish my beloved Parents could have seen, A day that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Visualize and Prophesized it so to be. A day that countless others gave their lives that one day we would all come together as one and celebrate as a nation., The 1st Inauguration of an African American President.

Oh how well as a young lad I remember my parents and countless others telling me the things that they had to endure as Black African American’s and their struggles in life to survive so that today we could all have the freedom we have today.

As I mention earlier I arose early turned on the Television, My laptop computer because I didn’t want to miss anything symbolic with this moment in time. The media really covered it oh so well to the point I almost felt like I was actually there in the crowd only part I was warm as people in attendance at the Nation Capital no doubt was freezing cold on the outside of their body and warm within from excitement of this day made in history. I mean I was glued all day long only to take a break for a hour only because the media took a break to only continue the coverage of the evening segment of Inaugural Events… I watched past midnight and that’s because I was tried in every sense of the word.

In my summation of this Historic Event I close Congratulating President Barack Obama to the Highest Office in the US. I pray the blessings and favor of God upon you and your entire administration, I pray God protection over you and your Wife Michele Obama and children, I pray that the Lord gives you Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding as you lead this country during your term in office, And that the Lord cancel every assignment that the enemy try to bring against you. I pray that we as a people especially those who are called by God to stand in the gap of prayer on your behalf. For it is in Him (Jesus) we live, move and have our being!
