I've Got A Yet Praise

Psalms 42:11 Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

When I consider the awesomeness of God and the marvelous things he has done in my life I can testify that I've Got A Yet Praise! A praise of Victory, A praise of Deliverance, A Praise of Triumph.

While the devil has and will come from time to time to try to defeat our purpose God has given unto us that we are more than conqueror's to him that loves us.

Down through the years and all of my life I have seen and witness the hand of God in my life. I've seen the Lord cover me from danger that lurk to steal and kill me that the Devil had planned for me. But greater is he that is within us that he that is in the world!

What is a Yet Praise you might ask, It's another praise in the forer unto the God, The God of my salvation, Another Praise of Victory from the hand of the enemy, A Praise for his continue faithfulness, A Praise of Thanksgiving, Yet another Praise I've Got for him being God, The creator and giver of Life. God faithfulness continue to grant us the priveledge to approach him, I've Got A Yet Praise!

No need to be castdown, nor defeated for right where you are begin to give him the fruit of your lips and bless his name for things he's already done for you also have Yet Another Praise To Give Him!

In closing as the song says, As I look back over my life and I think things over, I can truly say that I've been bless I Got A Testimony! I've Got A Yet Praise!

I've Got A Race To Run!

Hebrews 12:1 (King James Version)Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

In just about every race you see, Along side of the race you will notice large clouds of witnesses, Some are there to clear you on to victory and other are awaiting on your defeat. But in order to win the race you must remain focus on the finish line(The Lord Jesus Christ), All trainer's tells their runner's to stay focus and to free yourself from all the distraction that surrounds you, And the same applies spiritually in order to get to the finish line you must remain focus and not let those around you distract you, For in every crowd there are good ones and some not some good ones, Such as the sins and the weight of it that come to defeat you. You must keep running, never turning back nor looking to the left nor right just only to be distracted. For the devil is always placing things to get you off track of your final destination, The Finish Line.

And as every runner prepares themselves before the race, We the people of God must stay in shape by applying the word of God in our daily lives, and by fasting and praying, not looking to the left nor to the right but straight ahead to the finish line.

But as for me and my house not only will I serve the Lord, But I will finish the race that has been set before me, Looking unto Jesus, The Author and finisher of my Faith for I've got a race to run! Ready, Set, Go....

God Is Able

It matters not what you're going through I'm a living witness that God Is Able to bring you through it all... I want to encourage and challenge you to focus on him and not so much as your situation, He tells us in his word to cast our cares upon him, for he careth for you 1 Peter 5:7

Put On The Whole Armour of God

Giants DO DIE!!! The bigger they are the harder they fall... It's amazing that all David needed was a sling shot and a stone. Goliath had all kinds of armor and weapons...

But when God is in the midst of your situation, It don't matter what the enemy has come up against you with, He Can Not Prevail!!!!

The Power of God is far much Greater Than Anything that we face in our lives, Always remember to put on the whole armour of God!

Happy Father Day

Today all across America People Black, White, Hispanic and other nationalities will celebrate what is known as Father Day. A day set aside to honor and appreciate Father's. Some are deserving of it and other's aren't. But on this day I would like to celebrate the memory of my father the late Deacon Frank T. Gaines, One whom I would consider a par excellent roll model as a loving and dedicated man to his family and so many others with his unique and genius loving caring personality.

The person that I have become can be contributed to the up bringing of my father, He taught me great values to sustain in life, And how to be a Strong Black Saved Man...Growing up I watched and seem my father extend himself beyond the call of duty. He not only fathered his 7 Children, But Nephews, Nieces and members of the body of Christ. He provided along with my Mother the Late Missionary Fannie Gaines shelter, food and clothing to those that need it.

As Deacon of the Apostolic Church of God In Christ Jesus, under the leadership of Pastor Levy M. Miles, Pastor Percy J. Pitts and Pastor Gilbert L. Allen, My father was faithful to his call and appointment as Deacon, Again not only serving his personal family, He adopted and extended himself to many.

And it is with that, On this day we honor and celebrate as Father's Day I solute and honor the memory and legacy of my Natural Father The Late Deacon Frank T. Gaines...

Ready, Set And Go...

Hebrews 12:1 KJV
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

The race is set before us, Have you prepared yourself to make it to the finishing line, Or are you dragging your feet by not following the mandate that the Lord has given up by laying all those things that will slow you down, Such as the many weights of sin...The song says the road gets rough, The going gets toughs and even the hills are hard to climb...But this one thing I have made up my mind to do and that is I have decided to make Jesus my choice.

So grab a partner (The Word of God) and by fasting and praying you can make it to the finishing line. I plan to make it there what about you, Somehow I got to make this journey somehow, Satan on my track, Trying to turn me back, But I gotta make this journey somehow.... It's not how fast you run, but making it to the end!

Be Blessed!

Farther Along

Today I'm reflecting on one of the hymns of the Church, Farther Along We'll Know All About It, Farther Along Will Understand Why, Cheer Up My Brother, Live In The Sunshine, We'll Understand It....All By And By!

Sometimes Life gives us situation that we don't know what or how to handle them, But if we would only look to the hills from which comet our help, Being Jesus the Chief Cornerstone. We have a rock to stand upon, So as the song implies Cheer Up and Live In The Sunshine because their will be a Brighter Day Ahead!

I'm a true and living witness that God will not give you anything more than he know you can bear...It's A process we all have to go through in order to come out as Pure Gold tried in the fire.

I close encouraging you to hold on, be strong and run the race that have been given you to run. For at the end you will be more than a conqueror In Christ Jesus!

Florine Horton

Florine, Wow I am sadden with mix emotions, For over 32 years I known you, As a teenager entering for Official Duty for the Internet Revenue Service you befriended me along with other, And you kept the friendship real and later on it's seem like we became brother and sister, You gave me support and encourage me in my ministry of song...You called me from time to time to check up on me as any real sister would, And when the time I became critical ill, You came to my bedside and gave me words to encourage me that I will be alright...We had our differences in many things lol, But it didn't stop us for being brother and a sister to each other.

When I got the news that you had taken your flight from here I was so sadden, Because I felt a void so deeply sad...But you became tired and you needed your rest, So not to be selfish I must and I will let you take your rest.... So rest my sister your work is finish down here, And now that I'm grown I will always remember you as my on and off the job friend that was there for me till the end! Take your rest...Until the Lord return!

Where Do You Find Yourself? In Word & Worship, or Wrestling & Warfare?

The life of a believer is an great one, but at times perplexing one.

Many tend to believe that a believer's life will be one free of trials, hardships, and pain. But life has taught us that that's a fallacy!

Others believe that life will be filled with only good things. Things such as favor, abundance, and increase! Unfortunately, that too is untrue.

The truth is, the life of a believer vacillates between those 2 areas as well as and many others.

The question today is one that many ponder and worry about on a regular basis. Am I studying the Word enough? Do I spend enough time in Worship? Why am I always seemingly in Warfare? OR Why does it seem that I'm always Wrestling, like Jacob, for my blessing?

The question is not a WHY ME question, but rather a WHY NOT ME question!

Jesus was challenged in many of the same areas; therefore we should also expect to be. We tend to forget the he was God, but he wrapped himself in flesh. No, he didn't succumb to sin. But he was tempted, as we are, and had challenges during his JOURNEY, on earth, in route to his heavenly DESTINATION.

Heb 4:15* For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

So do your best to Worship and stay in Word! But know that much like an athlete developing muscle, know that God grants us moments of strength to get you over moments of Wrestling, Warfare and even Weakness!

I must also say that YOU WILL fall sometimes but get back up and continue the journey. When you do, start the progression all over again; Word, Worship, or Worship and Word!

Ro 3:23* For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Pr 24:16* For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again...

1Jo 1:9* If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Know this, our walk with God is about the JOURNEY, as much as it is about the DESTINATION!

I'm praying for you and I hope you're praying for me as well!

Why Did Jesus Fold The Napkin

As we commemorate the Death, Burial and Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ I would like to share with you something to reflect back on...

Why Did Jesus Fold the Napkin?

This is one I can honestly say I have never seen circulating in the
emails so; if it touches you, you may want to forward it.

Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection? I
never noticed this....

The Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed
over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave
clothes.

The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly
folded, and was placed separate from the grave clothes.

Early Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to
the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the
entrance.

She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom
Jesus loved. She said, 'They have taken the Lord's body out of the
tomb, and I don't know where they have put him!'

Peter and the other disciple ran to the tomb to see. The other
disciple outran Peter and got there first. He stooped and looked in
and saw the linen cloth lying there, but he didn't go in.

Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen
wrappings lying there, while the cloth that had covered Jesus' head was
folded up and lying to the side.

Was that important? Absolutely!

Is it really significant? Yes!

In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have
to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day. The
folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every Jewish
boy knew this tradition.

When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure
that it was exactly the way the master wanted it.

The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait,
just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the
servant would not dare touch that table, until the master was
finished.

Now if the master were done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe
his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that
napkin and toss it onto the table.

The servant would then know to clear the table. For in those days, the
wadded napkin meant, 'I'm done'.

But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and
laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table,
because..........

The folded napkin meant, 'I'm coming back!'

He is Coming Back!

25 Random Things About Me

1. My Parents name me Timothy because one of the Mother(s) of the church gave them a word from the Lord while my mother was caring me that I would be a boy born to do great things for God. So they did as told!
2. I'm not a only child I have 4 sisters, and 2 brothers, I am the 6 child. And no they are not short like me matter of fact both of my brother are 6Ft4.

3. I did think I was adopted tho LOL because of my height until God sent one of the saints my parents knew from another local church and she made mention to me that she remember my mom caring me while pregnant..."Oh what a release she was" lol

4. The Detroit Public School System didn't think when I first attended elementary school that I could handle it...But the devil was and still is a crazy demon from the pit of hell...My Parents and the School Principle fought on my behalf and you know the result...And The Decision was unanimous in my favor! I ended up going through Elementary, Jr. High and High School.

5. When I saw that everybody was out growing me in height I wonder what was going on, I mean I ate the proper meals lol took my vitamins...Then I remember asking my father why was everyone getting taller than me...And One day he met me at school on the playground and explain things to me. And as having a Saved Father he instilled in me values that has made me part of who I am today.By tell me that I could do all things, be all things, through Christ which strentghten me.

6. Growing up as a child I love basketball just like I still do today. And I remember oh so well I would go play basketball with my brothers and friends and I could never get the chance to throw the ball in because all it took was one person to just stand in front of me and just stand there because their height always block my shot... But the saints then would say you beta know for sure you gotta as oppose to get to the judgement seat and be told to depart... So week after week I would go to Prayer and Tarry mtg, Y'all remember them days and I would tarry and tarry for the HG and each time they would say to me Tim you got something you wanna tell us... I would say not tonight cause I didn't know if It was the HG or Me speaking like if how I would play church so finally on March 3, 1970 they ask me again and that night I felt a double portion of the HG and got up and told the saints I GOT IT, I GOT IT...
